DETTELBACH FOR OHIO REPORTS OVER $830,000 RAISED THIS PRE-GENERAL ELECTION FILING PERIOD IN AG RACE
Over $2.6 Million Cash-On-Hand
CLEVELAND — Today, Dettelbach for Ohio filed a pre-general election report showing the campaign raised over $830,000 this period. Today’s filing ups the campaign’s total to $6.4 million raised for the cycle and over $2.6 million in cash-on-hand, furthering Dettelbach’s considerable fundraising lead over his opponent Dave Yost. In addition, Dettelbach received over 4,500 individual contributions — more than ten times the amount of contributions given to Yost.
Campaign Manager Ian Moskowitz issued the following statement:
“With just 12 days remaining until the Election, Dettelbach for Ohio is positioned to win — and that is due to the support that so many across Ohio have thrown behind Steve Dettelbach’s campaign. We’ve received more than ten times the amount of individual contributions than Dave Yost. People from diverse communities and from diverse backgrounds across Ohio are ready to make change at the ballot box this cycle. They are fed up with typical politicians like Dave Yost who put special interest donors above the priorities and safety of everyday people.
“Steve Dettelbach is a career prosecutor, not a politician. As US Attorney, he stood on the front lines with law enforcement and took on tough cases involving violent criminals, crooked CEOs, child predators, and drug cartels. He’s held corrupt politicians — both Democrats and Republicans — accountable. Thanks to the support of energized voters across the state, we’ve been able to communicate what Steve has done to protect Ohio as United States Attorney, the experience he’ll bring to the Attorney General office, and why Dave Yost has no business as Ohio’s top law enforcement official. As we enter the homestretch, I cannot stress enough just how grateful Dettelbach for Ohio is to have so many dedicated Ohioans in our corner.”
