DAVE YOST ALLOWED ECOT TO PAY ITS STUDENTS
TO ATTEND GRADUATION CEREMONIES
CLEVELAND — TODAY, in response to reports that Auditor of State Dave Yost allowed for ECOT to pay its students to attend graduation ceremonies, Democratic nominee for Attorney General, Steve Dettelbach, released the following statement:
“This is what pure corruption looks like. ECOT used our tax money to PAY students to see Dave Yost speak at ECOT graduation three times, where Yost gave them awards for not wasting our tax money!
“What else? ECOT paid hush money to people to keep them quiet and gave payments to politicians, including Dave Yost, so they would look the other way.
“All of this happened not just on Frauditor of State Yost’s watch but—evidently—right in front of his very eyes.
“How is no one behind bars for this?”
Steve Dettelbach, the Democratic candidate for Ohio Attorney General, is a former United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio and career federal prosecutor.
